
China Southern To Invest At Beijing Airport August 12, 2005
China Southern Airlines, the country's biggest carrier, said on Friday that it plans to invest more than 1 billion yuan (USD$123.45 million) in a new facility at Beijing Airport. The company said its project will cover more than 100,000 square metres in an industrial zone adjacent to Beijing Capital Airport and will be used partly as a secure bonded cargo area. Guangzhou-based China Southern also said that one of the five Airbus A380 superjumbo jets it plans to operate will be based in Beijing by the end of 2007. |
